The sediment control planner works closely with the Carroll County Bureau of Development Review and the Bureau of Water Resource Management to review construction drawings for urban development. The planner reviews construction drawings to ensure sediment control measures comply with local, state and federal laws, regulations and ordinances. The Planner also works with landowners to help address soil erosion and water quality issues. Finally, the Planner assists farmers with the permit process for building agricultural structures that the MDA or NRCS does not consider best management practices.
